BEALE SIGNATURE COMPARISONS
My 2/13/12 research suggests these signatures are my ancestor George Beale d 1769.
Despite 33 years of research, 10,000 hours of active searching, and an enormous expenditure of research dollars all over the world, I have been unable to positively identify the birthplace & parents of ancestor George Beale who died St Croix in 1769. At the suggestion of Gary Roberts of The New England Historic Genealogical Society, I have written down some of my key findings.
NEW TACTIC----I have tried the genealogy research approach for 29 years, and have even offered a reward for positively identifying George Beale's (d. 1769) parents, etc. To date, no positive identification via genealogy.

4)-Eldest son John Beale now in England, to be trained for trade or business.
5)-GB owes bal due on PA land.
6)-GB mentions estate of Wm Murdoch to be inherited by wife Mary.

1)-25 Jan 1770- Mr. Arthur Bignell Produced will of GB dtd 4 Nov 1769-as Probate court gathers @ house of James Towers.
2)-GB Manager (Inspector) of plantation of Mr. John Bradshaw in Queens Quarter.
3)-GB died November 1769, left widow Mary Beale.
4)-Exors Mathias Ferral & Bignell of St. Croix, Mr. George Meade & Samuel Murdoch of Phila.
5)-Will confirmed 13 Dec 1769, 9 Jan 1770 the will recco by Gov. Clausen to be confirmed in Copenhagen by the King ( when translated into Danish ).
6)-Things left behind were distributed, stated Bignell.

1)-This land is described as being 245 acres, part in New Garden Twp, Chester Co, Penna & part in Mill Creek 100, New Castle CO, Delaware.
2)-28 March 1768- GB buys 111 acres from Isaac & Lydia Allen (mostly in DE).
3)-29 March 1768-George Beale late of the island of Jamaica(sic?) but now of City of Phila in the Prov of PA- gentleman & Rebecca Dixon of Twp of New Garden CO Chester ( widow & relict of John Dixon-late of Mill Creek 100, CO New Castle-deceased)--buys 134 acres. GB agrees to pay RB 180 pounds on 29 Mar 1769 plus interest. (This land mostly in PA).Signature Rebecah Dixson on deed.
Neighbors mostly Quakers: Late John Dixson,Henry Dixson,Wm Tate,Wm Buckingham,Isaac Allen,Joseph Fred & Isaac Jackson.
4)-Indenture between John Beale(son of GB) & Nicholas Springer dated 11 DEC 1783-two tracts described-same neighbors except Buckingham & Fred dropped, Jacob John & Nicholas Springer added.Resurvey by Thos Woodward 15 March 1768.GB described as late of Island of St Croix in West Indies-yoeman-deceased.JB sells / rents(?) 34 acres to Nicholas Springer for 680 pounds. Witnesses Wm Creery & James Brown. (see O)
5)-Letter of attorney from George Beale (son of GB late of the Island of St Croix,Merchant, deceased) dated 2 Sept 1784 in Eliz City County VA--GB II authorizes brother John to sell property--bounded by Nicholas Springer, Isaac Allen, Wm Buckingham, lands now or late belonging to Dixons containing about 245 acres. Witnesses Miles King, Westwood Armistead. Recorded 4 April 1785.
6)-Indenture dated 17 Feb 1785 in which 34 acres are being paid for by Nicholas Springer-recipients John Beale(son), Mary Beale(wife), Mary Kelly(dau), John Kelly(son in law),GB II by his attorney. Witnesses Wm Price, Henry Hawkins, Thos McKean.
NOTE GEORGE BEALE SAID HE FROM JAMAICA (WHEN HE ON ST CROIX) WHY??

H)-GEORGE BEALE / MARY MURDOCH WEDDING PHILA 1756-
1)-George Bail & Hannah Murdock take out a marriage license in Phila. Hannah is the 10 year old younger sister of Mary Murdoch, who is 21 years old.
2)-Christ Church, Phila ( Anglican)-George Bail mar Mary Murdoch 2 March 1756-Mr Sturgeon officiating. Also on 2 August 1756 Mary Murdoch mar George Bail. (?)
3)-Dr Rush states he has treated in 1770 widow Bayle- widow Murdochs dau from 2nd street--George Bail & Mary Murdoch married @ Christ Church on 2 August 1756.
NOTE GEORGE BEALE USED THE NAME BAIL ON THE MARRIAGE LICENSE, AT THE CHURCH , & AT DR RUSHS OFFICE---WHY ???
