JOHN DE SOMERY married Hawise, sister and heir of Gervase, and daughter of Ralph PAYNEL, who had inherited the barony of William FitzAnsculph. John died before Gervase. Alice de Somery's aunt was Isabel de Beaumont (1120-1188)
Isabel de Beaumont's sister Hawisa (1120-1197) married the owner of Mapledurham, and he founded Petersfield. Their daughter Isabel, Countess of Gloucester (1176-1217), married Prince John. ----SEE BELOW
Thus Alice Somery's aunt Isabel de Beaumont (1120-1188) was the aunt of Isabel, Countess of Gloucester, who married Prince John.
Richard le Bel's son lived in Petersfield ca 1272. This town was founded by the brother in law of the aunt of Richard's wife Alice Somery.
