6/8/18- SUSSEX ENGLAND FAMILY---surprise DNA match leads back to Chichester, England, a possible ancestor Georgs Beale birthplace, with Beale links to Priors Dean where Richard le Bel resided ca 1266, (see previous research www.geobeale.com/GB44.htm)

1)- New DNA match is identified-----On July 27, 2017 Bernie Cullen of FAMILY TREE DNA advised us of a new match to my ancestor George Beale of STX, it is the ancestor of Gary Beale. Bernie states “In my opinion, Gary Beale is extremely likely to be from your Beale family, but the common ancestor lived 400 or more years ago back in England....You all share several uncommon marker values that are rarely seen in other I-M26 families.”

Bernie contacted Gary’s sister who supplied the following family data concerning her ancestor sea captain John Beale who drowned 1841 off Chichester, Sussex:
“I only know as far back as my Gt Gt Grandfather who was a John Beale. He married a Jane Stroud who bore him a son and then died a few days after giving birth to a daughter who also died. John Beale then went on to marry Jane’s younger sister Mary. They went on to have 13 children with the first Elijah John Stroud (Beale) being born out of wedlock.
Sadly, I can not get back any further than Gt Gt Grandfather John as he actually drowned in the West Itchenor Harbour in Sussex on the 3rd Jan 1841, along with two of his sons James Henry and Tobias. Both were married, both had children and they were all girls. The oldest of James’ 3 girls was married, the second one died at three weeks old and I have not yet gotten down to tracking the third daughter. I am guessing Mum got married again and that is where the lead finished. The same for Tobias’ wife and daughter I am guessing. The child was only about 2&1/2 months when he drowned.
Looking at records from quite far back, a lot of he Beale men were Sailors of some description. This includes Beale men who were not from Sussex. I have not been able to trace where Gt Gt Grandfather John Beale actually came from or who his parents were sadly.”

2)- Given this big clue, I contacted my English researcher and on Aug 7, 2017 he agreed to start research on finding ancestors of John Beale who died 1841 Sussex, England.
