RICHARD OF LONDON IN IRELAND—HE WAS GIVEN TOWN OF FETHARD, CO. WEXFORD
Background of Fethard, Wexford---Wexford was granted to Strongbow in 1174 when he became lord of Leinster. Some of this land (Fethard) may have been given to his uncle Hervey. Hervey gave this land to Christ Church, Canterbury prior his death. The church gave Fethard to Herveys nephew Richard of London in 1200.
Richard of London was given Fethard, Wexford, Ireland which “was probably included in the grant of Hervey Mount Maurice...Hervey gave the land to the monks of Christ Church, Canterbury”

WILLIAM MARSHAL MARRIED STRONGBOW’s DAUGHTER ISABEL DE CLARE:
Strongbow’s daughter Isabel married William Marshal (1146-1219), a famous knight who helped conquer Ireland. Isabel was one of the wealthiest heiresses in Ireland.

In 1200 Willam Marshal set up the Cistercian Tinturn Abbey very close (6.6km north) of the town of Fethard.
http://www.ancient-egypt.co.uk/Cistercians/Tintern%20de%20Voto/index.htm ------dna20p.88, 89

In the same year 1200, the Cistercian Christ church awarded Richard of London the town of Fethard.

William Marshal’s cousin Margaret Marshal (1154-1242) married Ralph de Somery (1151-1210). Ralph’s sister was Alice Somery, who married Richard le Bel (1160-1226), son of Richard of London.
dna22p.120 , http://www.geobeale.com/GB43.htm
THUS WILLIAM MARSHAL HAD A COUSIN WHOSE HUSBAND HAD A SISTER WHO MARRIED RICHARD LE BEL

William Marshal’s daughter Isabel Marshal (1200-1240) married Gilbert de Clare (1180-1230). 349 Gilbert, his sons Richard & William, and his grandson Gilbert all inherited Mapledurham, Hants where Richard le Bel lived for many years.

RICHARD TUITE—INVADED IRELAND WITH STRONGBOW.
The following names appear on a list of those in Ireland within 3 years of the invasion in 1171. They include Strongbow and Richard Tuite.
https://books.google.com/books?id=STYbAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA689&lpg=PA689&dq=richard+fleming---richard+marisco&source=bl&ots=JL-Pn9PumL&sig=iUVtTG3CdvlgBsR3YWqLTKwLJ7Q&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjhsbjmrefKAhXG7R4KHTNFAlIQ6AEIRDAJ#v=onepage&q=richard%20fleming---richard%20marisco&f=false -----dna22p.159

This is significant as we believe Richard of London was also Richard le Bel, we now observe that my ancestor George Beale (descendant of Richard le Bel) worked on the plantation of Richard Tuite on St Croix ca 1765.
dna22p.159

This Richard Tuite on St Croix was a descendant of Richard Tuite who invaded Ireland and then lived in Westmeath (area controlled by Strongbow).

The Great Roll of the Pipe—King Henry the Second------(dna20resp.125 and pd4--aug14)

6)- BEAUMONT/VERMANDOIS CONNECTION LINKS TO MAPLEDURHAM PROPERTY WHERE RICHARD LE BEL LIVED--

Robert de Beaumont and Elizabeth de Vermandois granddaughter Hawise de Beaumont 1120-1197 married William Fitz Robert 1121-1183. They owned Mapledurham and Priors Dean. This passed along to their daughter Isabel who married Prince John (who became king of England). A Richard le Bel worked for King John and lived in Priors Dean and Mapledurham.----GB54.htm, GB/44, GB/39, p.225

Descendants of Robert de Beaumont and Elizabeth de Vermandois (and decendants of Strongbow and William Marshal) owned Mapledurham 1222-1295. A later Richard Le Bel gave his property Ditcham (part of Mapledurham) to the church at his death in 1272. A write up of this transaction mistakenly listed Richard le Bel as Philip le Bel (the French King).------GB39, 159, 266
